In Bizkaia there is a forest that kisses you, that looks at you, that plays with you and that loves you! It is the Oma Forest , a work by the Bilbao artist Agustín Ibarrola . A painted forest that plays with perspective, with three-dimensionality, with colours and that gives messages that are sometimes cryptic and sometimes crystalline. A work of art in which you are the protagonist from the moment the forest welcomes you with a kiss. They have called it “ animated forest ” and some have even defined it as the “enchanted forest” of Oma . We do not know if it is enchanted, but there must be some magic if a forest can kiss you, right?

The Oma Forest has had a very eventful history. In fact, it was closed for a few years and is no longer in its original location. It has been “migrated”, as the experts say, to another nearby wordpress web design agency location. It can now be visited again since its reopening at the end of 2023. We were there shortly after the “new location” and we will tell you all about the experience.
We are going to the Oma Forest . Very close to Gernika and less than forty minutes from Bilbao, one of the best experiences you can have in the interior of Bizkaia and perhaps in the whole Basque Country awaits you…
